Fire Alarms are categorized depending upon the use of the building, the threat to life within the building, or the threat to the building itself. Each fire alarm needs planning and maintenance to meet all Regulations, and to ensure it will work properly if it is ever needed.

  • Conventional Fire Alarm systems normally cover smaller buildings where each of the fire zones are wired back to a central fire alarm panel and zones identified by number and/or description. The automatic devices on these systems identify themselves to the control to indicate where a fire condition is detected.
  • Analogue Fire Alarm Systems schemes form a loop where each detector can be addressed directly to the panel. This method increases flexibility in the way in which the building is monitored. The system can still be split into zones, but each device works independently, providing relevant information in the event of a fire to locate where the fire started and the direction of any fire spread. Such information can be sent to a central station that can be remote or passed to the fire appliences attending the fire.

Abbeyvale Systems works with all parties to complete a comprehensive and safe system of fire alarm detection and warnings, to slow fire spread and minimize risk, working to advise on emergency protection and towards delivering evacuations procedures in the event of fire.
