Emergency Lighting is a necessary part of modern building design. Dependent upon the use to which premises are put, owners, occupiers, or Fire & Rescue and Planning officers may require emergency lighting to be installed or upgraded to accomplish safe occupancy for residents, visitors or workers. Adequate emergency lighting installations can be critical to securing and keeping licenses in some instances.

  • Testing & Record Keeping of emergency lighting systems is a maintenance requirement (weekly) in many multi-occupancy buildings. Therefore, ease of testing is essential for the non-interference with normal activities.
  • Most modern building lighting systems fall into two broad spectrums of self contained or central battery systems. These may be maintained or non-maintained which operate in the area local to the fitting and have easy test facilities. Older buildings may retain central battery systems with fireproof cable remote from the situation to be illuminated.

Abbeyvale Systems works jointly with the authorities, licensees, owners and occupiers of all types of premises to meet all the agreed emergency lighting requirements.
