Closed Circuit Television or CCTV systems are used to monitor safety and security, and for communications. From a simple black & white camera connected to a monitor with which to watch a door, to a large integrated system with multiple colour cameras and multiplex monitors used on site or remotely via a central control station.

Monitoring and Recording of events can be achieved whenever they occur. A wide range of security cameras is available for use in daylight or in poor visibility, for internal or external situations, for hazardous or secure environments, and for fixed locations or for remote operation. Monitoring can be installed to watch places where stock movements take place, or to watch the movement of people, animals and vehicles. Images can be transmitted by radio link where cabling is a problem.

Central Control Station monitoring outside of normal working days will allow an operator to pan, tilt and zoom cameras on site and to watch over several premises. Cameras systems can be integrated with audio equipment to provide voice communications with the site.

Automation means that fewer staff have to be present for certain mechanical processes. For example; Regulations require that petrol station forecourt operators must be able to see the petrol pump that discharges fuel. Cameras can be used in these situations and CCTV can plug the safety gap where workers are alone in distant areas or at remote sites.

Abbeyvale Systems are widely experienced in the installation and use of CCTV monitoring equipment in overt and covert situations to fulfill the safety or security needs of industrial and commercial customers. We can advise where CCTV may improve mechanical processes, save on manpower costs, or alert remote operators to function abnormalities.
